Diego Lopez started in the match against Real Sociedad what was his 50th official match for Real Madrid. The goalkeeper made his debut with the first team
on 6th December 2005 in Real Madrid’s 2-1 away loss against Olympiacos
in the Champions League. He had been in the Whites’ academy since 2000.
The Galician returned to the club last winter and since then has
participated in 39 matches in all competitions.
This is the fourth season that Diego Lopez has been part of the
Real Madrid first team. Ancelotti has picked him to start in the 13
league matches played so far this season and he also made an appearance
