“We have to rack up three at a time because it’s urgent and knowing that we’re playing well I think the results will come sooner or later”, said Cristian Gómez

Castilla faces La Liga Adelante match day 13
in the Alfredo Di Stéfano stadium against Alavés (6:15 p.m., LaSexta)
with one objective in mind: the win. The players know that picking up
every point possible at home is the way out of a complicated situation. “It’s a crucial game; the Di Stéfano has to be the factor
that saves us right now. We’ll climb the table by playing well at home
and we’ll also try to get as many points as we can away”, said Borja in
an interview ahead of tomorrow’s clash.
Picking up every point possible at home has become an urgent
priority for a Castilla that has been playing well without the results
they need. Cristian discussed the upcoming match against Alavés:
“I guess it will be a rocky game, they’ve just been promoted from 2nd
Division B and we know that there are teams that defend really well and
it’s hard to score goals. Also, set pieces are sure to be dangerous”. He also spoke about the team’s determination to win: “For
one reason or another we haven’t been able to pick up points, but we’re
confident that this week is the week and from here on we’ll start
moving up”.Borja rejoins the team after an injury three weeks ago and expressed how happy he is being back with his teammates: “I’ve wanted to play, to feel good and help the team”. The mood in the dressing room is positive and the players know that they need to work on adding up points, as Borja confirmed: “The team is always motivated but we get to the games and for specific errors luck always seems to fall on the side of our rival. We have to play every game like a final because a fourth of the Liga has passed and any errors are going to cost us from here on out”.
